Pool Plant Room Electrical Control Panel
Cometepool manufactures electrical control panels for swimming pool plant rooms on its ISO 9001-certified production line in Izmir, Türkiye. Every panel is designed to the project's drawings and dimensions, assembled with Siemens and Schneider Electric components, protected by a residual current device, and delivered CE-certified in an IP54 field-type enclosure. A pool plant room control panel is the electrical assembly that starts, protects and monitors the circulation pumps and the underwater lighting groups of a filtration room from one place. In the professional series the miniature circuit breakers, contactors and motor protection devices are specified as Siemens, Schneider Electric or equivalent components according to the order. All three material lines share the same circuit logic — only the component brand changes — so a specification-driven project and a budget-driven project can both be served from the same engineering base.
Each panel controls the stated number of three-phase pumps and is residual-current protected. A sequential phase protection relay is fitted inside the enclosure, so the pump motors are kept off-line when the phase order is wrong or a phase is lost. Switching is done with cam (pako) switches on the front face, and all outputs are terminated on DIN rail terminal blocks. Every pump has its own fault and running indicator lamp on the door, which means a technician entering the plant room can read the state of the system before opening anything. Rail terminals keep site cabling tidy and re-workable during commissioning and later service visits.
The standard range starts at 1 pump · 1 lighting group (6 lights) and runs to 5 pumps · 5 lighting groups (30 lights). Siemens-equipped panels are listed as SMF0011-SMF0055, Schneider-equipped panels as SCMF0011-SCMF0055 and equivalent-component panels as MMF0011-MMF0055. For villa pools there is a separate compact series: VTP001 single-phase (1 pump + 5 lights) and VTP002 three-phase (1 pump + 6 lights), with residual-current versions VTP001-K and VTP002-K and Schneider-equipped versions VTP001SC and VTP002SC. Legrand or Schneider timer additions and extra control additions are catalogued as separate items in this series.
Panel manufacturing is project-specific. Pump count, number of lighting groups, additional control functions and the internal layout are all set from the plant room drawing, so the catalogue codes are a starting point rather than a fixed shelf product. Electronic control button systems for jacuzzi pump, light and blower functions, and RGB modulator control units for coloured lighting, can be supplied to work alongside the same panel.

- Plant rooms of hotel and resort pools. The professional series is used where several circulation pumps and large lighting groups must be operated from a single panel.
- Villa and residential pools. On installations with one pump and five or six lights, the compact villa-type panel takes up little plant room space; residual current protection is fitted on the -K coded versions.
- Circulation control on overflow and skimmer pools. The pumps feeding the filter group are operated from the cam switches on the panel front.
- Jacuzzi and spa applications. The electronic control button system manages pump, light and blower from the poolside and can be mounted on the DIN rail inside the panel.

What does a pool plant room control panel do?+
It centralises the electrical control of the plant room: circulation pumps and underwater pool lighting are switched and protected from a single IP54 field-type enclosure, with a residual current device guarding the circuits. Cometepool configures each panel to match the pumps and lighting circuits defined in your project.
Can the control panel be manufactured to our project drawings?+
Yes. Manufacturing to project drawings and dimensions is Cometepool's core competency. The number of pump outputs, the lighting circuits and the internal layout are defined per project — a four-pump control front is one example configuration — and terminals are delivered labelled to simplify site wiring.
Are Cometepool pool control panels CE certified?+
Yes. As electrical products, Cometepool control panels carry CE certification. They are built with Siemens and Schneider Electric components on an ISO 9001-certified production line in Izmir, Türkiye.
What is the difference between the Siemens, Schneider and equivalent-component panels?+
All three lines share the same circuit design: the same pump capacity, the same sequential phase protection relay, the same residual current protection and the same rail terminal outputs. The difference is the brand of the breakers, contactors and motor protection devices. Projects with a brand requirement in the specification take Siemens or Schneider; projects without one usually take the equivalent-component series.
How is the panel size and capacity determined?+
The panel is defined by the number of pumps and lighting groups in the plant room. The standard range runs from 1 pump · 1 lighting group (6 lights) to 5 pumps · 5 lighting groups (30 lights). Tell us the pump count, whether the pumps are three-phase or single-phase, and the total number of lights, and we will confirm the right step together; if a different combination is needed, the panel is built specifically for the project.
Do you manufacture panels specific to our project?+
Yes. Panel production is carried out to the requirements of the project, taking the pump and lighting counts into account. The catalogue codes are standard steps; once we have the plant room drawing, additional controls, timers and the internal layout are arranged accordingly. Additions can also be made to the villa-type panels.
Can a panel be retrofitted to an existing pool plant room?+
Yes, panel replacement is a common job. Once the existing pump count and ratings, the pump phase type, the number of lighting circuits and the supply cable size are established, the new panel is built around that data. On installations whose old board has no residual current protection or phase protection relay, this replacement is a priority upgrade for electrical safety.
What electrical protections does the panel include?+
The panels are residual-current protected and contain a sequential phase protection relay, so the pump motors are protected when the phase order is wrong or a phase is lost. Circuit breakers, contactors and motor protection devices are housed inside the panel as well. In the villa-type series, the residual current relay is fitted on the -K coded versions.
Who is responsible for installation and site wiring?+
The panel is delivered with its outputs terminated on rail terminal blocks; connecting the site cables and mounting the panel in the plant room is carried out by a qualified electrical team in accordance with the regulations of the country where the work takes place. This is required both for electrical safety and for compliance with local codes. We support you with questions about the connection points and the internal layout.
How is the panel maintained?+
Because a plant room is a damp environment, the door should be kept closed and the gasket in good condition. A periodic check consists of testing the residual current protection with its test button, checking terminal tightness and confirming that the indicator lamps work. These checks should be carried out by qualified electrical personnel with the panel isolated.
